It covers a broad range of numerical and analytical methods that are essential for the correct analysis of scientific data, including probability theory, distribution functions of statistics, fits to two-dimensional data and parameter estimation, Monte Carlo methods and Markov chains.

Features new to this edition include. Data analysis is one of the more important stages in our research. Without performing exploratory analyses of our data, we set ourselves up for mistakes and loss of time. Generally speaking, our goal here is to be able to "visualize" the data and get a sense of their values.

Statistics is basically a science that involves data collection, data interpretation and finally, data validation. Statistical data analysis is a procedure of performing various statistical operations.
